Les 8 et 9 février 2019, les membres du jury international se sont réunis pour sélectionner les finalistes du Prix Liberté. Puis du 1er au 31 mars, les jeunes du monde entier ont été invités à choisir parmi les finalistes sélectionnés, le ou la candidat(e) à qui ils souhaitent décerner le Prix Liberté.

Raif Badawi

As a blogger, he advocated for social and political reforms and greater freedom in his country. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1000 lashes and has been imprisoned since 17 June 2012.

Lu Guang

This photojournalist speaks out against the environmental and social damage caused by the development of factories in China. His relatives were informed of his arrest by the Chinese authorities in December 2018.
