60 years after the Algerian independance, the diplomatic relations between France and the former colony of the empire are not yet soothed. The report of the historian Benjamin Stora on "The questions of remembrance during colonization and the Algerian war", given in January to the Elysée (French government), did not receive a great welcome on the other side of the Mediterranean sea. Emmanuel Macron intended to reconciliate memories in France and in Algeria on 25 August, one of the challenges of its presidency.
