From 25 May to 16 June, for the 75th anniversary of D-Day and for the 13th edition of the D-Day Festival Normandy, the eight tourism offices of the coastal area of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy will come together to encourage local residents and tourists to celebrate the Allies’ hard-won freedom with a wide-ranging programme of more than 160 events!
For this particularly special edition, more than 160 events will be held for local residents and tourists from Utah to Sword Beach to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day and to pay tribute to freedom. These events will include parachute displays, military vehicle processions, air shows, giant picnics, book fairs, exhibitions, sporting and cultural events, dances and more.

The D-Day Festival Normandy is supported by the Normandy Region and the Normandy Regional Tourism Board and is the official event of the D-Day Normandy regional branch. This regional support helps the eight associated tourism offices to develop celebratory, cultural and tourist initiatives for the wider public.
This initiative aims to broaden the scope of commemorations by organising a major tourist event, even during years which don’t mark significant anniversaries. The grouping of initiatives to create a single programme within such a vast region helps to give meaning to the historical and geographical continuity of the events which took place, ensuring a better understanding of these events and increased visibility by means of this joint programming. The creation of a joint communications programme contributes to the identification, visibility and renown of the organised events.
