Normandy World Peace Forum: from 3 to 5 June 2020

The 3rd Normandy World Peace Forum will be held in the Abbaye-aux-Dames in Caen from 3 to 5 June 2020. More than 200 international speakers are expected to discuss environment, education and new technologies on the theme "Preventing War: Responding to new threats".
Useful informations

The forum is an international event open to all and is meant to be a place of reflection and mediation on themes like peace, freedom and human rights. Gathering diplomats, intellectuals, researchers and also political representatives, this forum is a precious tool to provide an interdisciplinary view on several forms of contemporary conflicts. 

The program of this 3rd edition

3 plenary conferences and 30 thematic debates

Dive into the heart of international current issues attending plenary conferences and thematic debates conducted by experts on geopolitics. In a dynamic format, the conferences' subjects will be developed with alternatively videos and speeches which will allow the drawing of a global panorama on the theme of the Forum. 

Attend a whole morning of debates and testimonies on the role of women that are fighting for peace and the late openings which will propose a projection of documentaries, a concert and a literary evening, run in partnership with the magazine l'OBS.

The Village for Peace

In the parc of the Abbaye aux Dames, go and meet authors, associations and ONG that act for peace and discover the ephemeral bookshop and many animations and artistic expositions throughout the day. 

Spaces will be dedicated to catering inside the village.

And as always highlights dedicated to the youth

Attend highlights dedicated to the youth : through the Freedom Prize which will takes place on wednesday 3 June afternoon and which will award a person or an organization for its fight for freedom.

The european programme Walk the Global Walk wich will gather on thursday 4 June afternoon almost 800 Norman youngsters who will come to present their works on the goal of sustainable development n°13: measures on the fight for climate change.

And the restitution of projects led by high school students in Europ thanks to the pedagogical platform eTwinning.
