2018 Normandy for Peace : Young people at the meeting

The 2018 World Forum welcomed nearly 1700 young people on 7 and 8 June. These high school students met the veterans of the D-Day and the Battle of Normandy in 1944 and were rewarded for their initiatives in favour of sustainable development, human rights and freedom. Citizen and educational workshops were also open for CM2 students.

History through their eyes

On June 8, 2018, 40 young people discovered the traveling exhibition History Through Their Eyes, an initiative of the Libération Route Europe Foundation, which is working on the transmission of the Second World War and the construction of Europe.

Vox pop on the World Peace Forum 

During the Normandy for Peace World Forum a vox pop was realized. It gathered the reactions of the public. During this 2018 edition 5,000 visitors came to attend the conferences, thematic debates and activities on offer.
