Young people from around the world will be invited to choose the winner of the Freedom Prize from the three finalists.

Vote for the Freedom Prize

The vote

This online-only vote will be available for 1 month. The finalist public figure or organisation which receives the most votes will be the winner of the 2019 Freedom Prize.

When?

From March 1 to 31, 2019, after a 2-month promotional campaign that will announce the three finalists.

Who?

Any young person aged 15 to 25 of any nationality.

How?

Go on special plateform. To ensure that the vote is reliable, voters will be asked to create an account using their email address.

The Freedom Prize award ceremony

The public figure or organisation chosen by the world's young people will be awarded the Freedom Prize, which comes with a €25,000 grant.

This award ceremony will be held at a public event which will take place around June 6, 2019, as part of the Normandy World Peace Forum and the international commemorations for the 75th anniversary of the Allied landings.

A thousand young people will attend this event which will also be broadcast live on the internet. In addition to the panel of judges, the audience will be made up of delegations of young people, chosen for the high quality of their “Our candidate, their combat” applications. International delegations will be invited to spend several days in Normandy.

This key event will be an opportunity to promote young people’s work.
