Freedom Prize
The Freedom prize is an initiative which aims to raise awareness of freedom and peace organized by the Normandy Region, the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace, and Canopé. Young international people will be involved in each stage of the project : from proposals to vote and the judges!

24 youngsters from 13 countries will gather on the 14th and 15th February, 2020 in Caen. The 24 judges will select the three finalists from among the people and organisations nominated during the call for application "Our Freedom Prize 2020".

The panel will be composed of 15 girls and 9 boys aged 20 years on average. In this jury, 6 come from Normandy (Orne, Manche, Eure, Seine-Maritime), 6 come from France (Vendée, Haute-Savoie, Sarthe, Isère, Var, Essonne) and 12 come from all over the world (Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Togo, United States, Canada, Colombia, Cambodia, India, Spain, Ireland, Lebanon, Egypt).

Varied profiles make up this jury. They are high school students, volunteers in civic service, students (law, psychology, polytechnic, medicine) or employees.

During two days, the deliberations will be supervised and moderatedby the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace, with activities based on the respect of the opinion of others and mobilizing skills such as the ability to work in a team and argumentation.
