Discover in the village : A pop-up bookshop Exhibitions: Hope amid the ruins by Les femmes s'exposent, Handshakes for Peace by Paris Match, The D-Day beaches: exceptional sites Activities hosted by partners : the European Parliament, the INA and the webserie "Women of Peace", UN Women France, VITAE Project, Amnesty International, the French Red Cross in Normandy Concerts, midday and evening Partners in the Village only on October 2 The Junior Economic Chamber The Norman branch of the Junior Economic Chamber will present its citizen actions on the Village. The activities will particularly focus on raising awareness on sustainable development goals. Political Science, University of Rouen The research team behind the Jupiter regional programme (given an award by the Flaubert Foundation) hopes that the “Terrorism trials: justice from yesterday to today” project will help every citizen to understand the role of the legal system and justice in response to terrorism. The trial for the Charlie Hebdo attacks will begin on 4 September 2020, while the trial for the attacks of 13 November will be held in September 2021. This initiative aims to shed light on current terrorism trials while looking back at the past with the visual and sound archives of past trials. Led by Antoine Mégie (a researcher at the University of Rouen) and Benoit Peyrucq (courtroom artist – AFP), the workshop will give attendees the opportunity to learn how the legal system works through courtroom art. Activities only on October 2 Politic Sciences Paris (Le Havre) - 11h-12h15 L’antenne du Havre de Sciences Po Paris, en partenariat avec le lycée Brassens de Neufchâtel en Bray, proposera un atelier animé conjointement par des étudiants et des lycéens. Sous la forme d’une table ronde, la discussion portera en particulier sur le rôle de la jeunesse dans le combat pour la Paix et la Liberté.
