Would interference be the modern and discreet form of invasion? Intrusions into national elections, the purchases of individual loyalties, the acquisition of 
stakes in companies, misinformation, etc. While the use of force often fails, more pernicious interference offers a new means of serving one’s own interests. How can we spot it and fight it, without paranoia and the restriction of fundamental freedoms? How can we make citizens aware of these strategies, to enable them to resist them?
