The Global Peace Index 2020 by the Institute for Economics and Peace ranks 163 countries according to 23 peace indicators.
The Index 2020 finds a deterioration of the level of global peacefulness with 80 coutries recording deteriorations during the year. Countries where conflicts ended knew a new wave of tension and uncertainty as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
