Climate change is the major challenge of our time and it has numerous impacts on populations. One of its effects is to aggravate poverty and inequalities throughout the world. There is a risk that these will continue to widen, due to the increase in extreme natural events. An intersectional approach to understanding climate change helps us to see how individuals and groups are affected differently by a global phenomenon.
