The Calvados Archives organizes a temporary exhibition about the resistance in Calvados

This exhibition aims to retrace a relatively forgotten part of the history of the Second Norman War: the role of the Resistance, including the success of the Normandy Landing and the Battle of Normandy. It will make it possible to trace the paths of resistant, known or not, sometimes forgotten: big figures, but also modest actors, which all allowed to maintain the hope against the occupant and the spirit of collaboration.

It is carried out with the help of a scientific committee associating Jean Quellien and Gaël Eismann, the ONACVG, the Historical Service of Defense, the Foundation for the Memory of the Deportation and the Association Memoirs of the Norman Resistance.

A declination in the form of portraits will also be proposed on the website www.archives.calvados.fr
