Editor-in-chief for diversification at ELLE magazine, 45-year-old Florence Besson spent 15 years working as a senior reporter for ELLE, specialising in social issues, having previously worked at LCI after graduating with a degree in philosophy and political science. In 2018, she left her job as a journalist to focus on environmentalism: she began studying at an agricultural college and obtained a qualification in organic market gardening with the aim of setting up educational workshops to raise awareness about the natural world. She wrote a book about her career change called Toucher Terre (published by Flammarion). In 2020, in addition to her agricultural work, she was appointed to oversee ELLE magazine’s diversification and organised her first green event with the GoodPlanet Foundation.
