Alain Boinet

 

Alain Boinet is the Founder of the humanitarian NGO Solidarités International born in 1980 and now active in twenty countries. He has carried out numerous missions, notably in Afghanistan, Bosnia and the Balkans, in Rwanda, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the Sahel. At the request of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Kouchner, he is the author, with Benoit Miribel, of a report in 2009 which is at the origin of major changes in the relations of partnership between the public authorities and the NGOs thus in the development of the French Republic's humanitarian strategy.

He is a member of the Humanitarian Dialogue Group at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Members of the Board of Directors of the French Partnership on Water (PFE) and the Think Tank (re) sources, he has led for nearly 15 years a fight for access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation for everyone in the world. It is also particularly committed to coordinating emergency, reconstruction and development actions in crisis situations. Alain Boinet is the sponsor of the 2017-2018 promotion of the Bioforce Institute, created by Dr. Charles Mérieux, and which trained 2704 students in the humanitarian professions last year.
