Pascal Boniface

Pascal Boniface is the Director of the Institute of International and Strategic Relations (IRIS).

Pascal Boniface also directs The International and Strategic Review (quarterly publication since 1991) and The Strategic Year (annual publication since 1985).

He has written or edited nearly seventy published works on the topic of international relations, nuclear and disarmament issues, power relations, French foreign policy and the impact of sport on international relations (he developed the concept of geopolitics of sport), as well as the Middle East conflict and its repercussions in France. Many of them have become classics, reissued regularly and translated into multiple languages.

Pascal Boniface publishes numerous articles in international geopolitical journals, speaks regularly in the national or international, written or audiovisual media, and gives numerous conferences and debates in France and abroad. He is one of the most followed geopolitical scientists on social networks, notably Twitter and Facebook. He deciphers international news on his YouTube channel and his weekly podcast "Comprendre le monde", as well as through his various blogs: IRIS, Mediapart and staff.

Pascal Boniface is a member of the National Ethics Council of the French Football Federation. He is also a consultant on geopolitical issues for the Olympic Museum and a geopolitical consultant for the NGO Peace and Sport.

Pascal Boniface is a Knight of the National Order of Merit, an Officer of the Legion of Honour and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. He also received the Vauban prize in 2011.
