Jean-Marc Châtaigner

 

Since 1990, he has been working in the Ministry of Cooperation as a civil administrator and then in charge of geographical missions (Niger, Mali, Equatorial Guinea, Chad). From 1993 to 1995, he was assistant advisor to the head of the mission of cooperation and cultural action in Abidjan. From 1995 to 2001, he was seconded to the Ministry of Economy and Finance as Financial Attaché to the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York. In 2001, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2004, he was seconded to the French Development Agency.

In 2007, he was appointed cabinet director of Jean-Marie Bockel, Secretary of State for Cooperation and Francophonie. In 2008, he was chosen as deputy director of the Cabinet of Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Chief of Staff of Alain Joyandet, Secretary of State for Cooperation and Francophonie. He was appointed Ambassador of France to Madagascar in 2009, a position he held until 2012. In 2012, he found a position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
