Thierry Cruvellier, a journalist and author, is the editor-in-chief at JusticeInfo.net. He has been covering war crime trials at the main contemporary international war tribunals (Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Bosnia, Cambodia) as well as other justice processes across the globe for more than 25 years. He also covered the Hissène Habré trial at the Extraordinary African Chambers in Senegal. In 2021, he was the only international journalist to cover the Massaquoi trial in Liberia, an unprecedented experience in transnational justice for war crimes.

Cruvellier covered the war in Sierra Leone between 1990 and 1996 and was the representative of Reporters Without Borders in the African Great Lakes region from 1994 to 1995, based in Rwanda. He was a regular New York Times contributor on international justice matters and taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2016 to 2019. A Nieman Fellow at Harvard University from 2003 to 2004, he is the author of three books: Le tribunal des vaincus (The Tribunal of the Conquered, Calmann-Lévy, 2006), Le maître des aveux (The Master of Confessions, Gallimard, 2011) and Terre promise (Promised Land, Gallimard, 2018).
