Emanuela Claudia Del Re is the European Union Special Representative for the Sahel. Italian professor with a long university carreer, she led extensive researches in conflicts areas in Middle East, Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. She was a Member of the Italian Parliament and was an italian Vice-Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation for two officies.
