Christian Destremau

 

Former student of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris. Independent French historian. A human rights activist, he went to Pakistan and Afghanistan, where he is now an entrepreneur. Historian of the Second World War, fine connoisseur of British culture, Christian Destremau is the author of a masterful biography of Lawrence of Arabia. His essay The Middle East during the Second World War was hailed by critics, while what Allied knew was a great public success. Biography prize of the French Academy, he is also responsible for NGOs.
