Michael Frendo

 

Michael Frendo is a Maltese politician. He was Minister of Youth and Arts (1992-1994), Minister of Transport, Communications and Technology (1994-1996), then Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta (2004 to 2008).

On October 29, 2004, he became a signatory of the Constitution for Europe.

In November 2007, he was nominated for the succession of Don McKinnon as Commonwealth Secretary General, but was defeated by Kamalesh Sharma.
