Jérôme Garcin is a journalist, literary critic and , manages the cultural division at L’Obs and produces and hosts the television programme Le Masque et la Plume on France Inter. He has written several novels, including Pour Jean Prévost (1994, Prix Médicis for essays), La Chute de Cheval (1998, Prix Roger Nimier) and, most recently, Le Dernier Hiver du Cid (2019) which was awarded the Prix des Deux Magots
