Régis Genté

Journalist and specialist in the former Soviet space based since 2002 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He covers news from the South Caucasus, Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia for Radio France Internationale (RFI), France 24 and Le Figaro. He has been working on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh for around twenty years, having notably covered the "Velvet Revolution" of 2018, the "Second Karabakh War" of 2020 and the events of this month of September 2023. He is the author of the documentary film "Armenian Genocide, the specter of 1915" (52 mins, France 5 - 2015). He also writes analytical reports for various think tanks and research centers such as IFRI or ECFR. He is finally the author of four books: Journey to the country of the Abkhazians (Editions Cartouche, 2012), Poutine and the Caucasus (Editions Buchet-Chastel, 2014), Futbol, ​​the round ball from Stalin to Putin (G. Allary, 2018 ) and Volodymyr Zelensky, in the head of a hero (R. Laffont, 2022).
