County Councillor of Telemark, Gunn Marit Helgesen is also President of the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Norwegian delegation to the Congress of the Council of Europe, where she was elected President of the Chamber of Regions and Vice-President of the Congress. Ms Helgesen believes that local solutions can often be the answer to national and international challenges.
