Cécile Hennion

Cécile Hennion has been a journalist and reporter at Le Monde since 2004. She covered the main conflicts in the Middle East and was the newspaper's correspondent in Beirut from 2009 to 2013. Since then she has been the editor of the Geopolitics section of Le Monde. She has published several works, and her book "Le fil de nos vies brisées", an account of the city of Aleppo at war by its inhabitants (Éditions Anne Carrière; 2019), won the Joseph Kessel and Hervé Ghesquière prizes.

It gave rise to the "Alep-Machine" exhibition, with the participation of numerous Syrian artists, in Bayeux, as part of the Festival des Correspondants de Guerre.
