Leonid Donos has been working in the field of civil society development in Ukraine for the past seven years. His main focus areas are participation, openness and transparency of local budgets, the realisation of citizens' right to participate, involvement of NGOs in the development of the social sphere, social businesses, youth NGOs, and building trust between government and citizens. After February 24th, the focus of his work shifted to humanitarian aid, social integration and human right, in particular for internally displeased people in Ukraine. He is the Board member of the International NGO ‘’Foundation for Freedom”, part of the Initiatives of Change family, and is leading the Trustbuilding Program, aimed at establishing a dialogue between different social groups in Ukrainian society: IDPs, the authorities and local residents. Leonid is also a Director of the Association for Community Participatory Development, where, supported by his team, he is helping local governments and NGOs to build their capacity, especially in areas of social integration, employment of IDPs, and the creation of humanitarian hubs in host communities.
