Guy Mamou-Mani, who holds a bachelor's degree and a certified Mathematics teacher, began his career in 1985 at CSC-Go International, founded by his brother Alain Mamou-Mani, as a consultant, before setting up in 1995 the French subsidiary of American software publisher Manugistics. In 1998, he joined the Open Group as Associate Director General, and from 2008 took over the co-presidency of Open with Frédéric Sebag. He was elected President of Syntec Numérique in June 2010. He is also a member of the High Council for Equality between Women and Men (HCEfh). He is knighted the Legion of Honor on December 31, 2014.
