Ms Matas is a Special Advisor to the Director of the GCSP. She focuses on policy advice to the Director and designs and oversees a number of dialogue processes in Geneva and internationally focused on relations between Russia and the West, European Security, the OSCE conflict prevention mechanisms, post-war reconstruction in Syria, as well as others. She is a regular contributor to international conferences and workshops, while also teaching various modules at the GCSP courses: European Security Course, Leadership in International Security Course, Swiss Military Professional Officers Training and others.

As the Head of the Effective Governance cluster, Ms Matas directed executive education programmes for State officials from Myanmar, Tunisia, Iraq, Cameroon and other countries.
