Luisa Elena Molina

 

Luisa Elena Molina is a Professor at the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (Institute of Geography and Natural Resources) at the University of the Andes, Mérida, Venezuela. She has a Magister degree in agrarian development from this university and a Doctorate in geography from Laval University (Canada). Her teaching and research focus on the economics of agri-food and agrarian systems in Venezuela and Latin America and regional development. She is the co-founder and Director of the Centre for Agri-Food Research of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of the Andes. She is also a member of the human rights research group at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and of the UNESCO Chair’s Unitwin network at Montpellier SupAgro. She was a Visiting Professor at the universities of Toulouse and Avignon.
