
Thomas Posado is a Doctor of Political Science at Université Paris-8 and a researcher at CRESPPA-CSU. His research focuses on the shifts in trade unions in contemporary Venezuela.
He has written many articles:
- on the history of trade unionism in Venezuela (Nuevo Mundo, 2013; a chapter in Le Vénézuela d’Hugo Chávez, bilan de quatorze ans de pouvoir (Hugo Chávez’s Venezuela: an overview of fourteen years in power), PUN, 2013; Alternatives Sud, 2014; IdeAs, 2017),

- on tensions between Chavism and the labour movement (Mouvements, 2013),

- on the state of Latin American democracy (Pouvoirs, 2019).
He coordinated five papers on progressive Latin American governments (Recherches Internationales n°93, 2012, n°107, 2016), the Venezuela process (ContreTemps, n°25, 2015; IdeAs, n°10, 2017) and the relationship between trade unionism and progressive Latin American governments (Cahiers des Amériques Latines, n°86, 2017).
