Olga Prud'homme Farges

Olga was born 9 months after May 68 in Paris, and after completing her hypokhâgne, studies in history (Paris VII and Paris IV), in archaeology (CNRS excavations in Israel, Italy, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), and a DEA (IFP-Paris II) , she writes freelance for the press ( Libération, Le Monde, Historia, Passé Simple, la Marche du Siècle, etc.).

In 1997, she produced 30 Portraits of Children ( 1000 children around the year 2000 , for France 2) and in 2000 she landed her first documentary, Des Ventres bavards, thanks to Ateliers Varan.

From 2001 to 2005, she directed and produced documentaries, including the series Cheval Artistes (6x26') and Écuries extraordinaires (18x26'). In 2003, she created Kolam Productions (www.kolamproductions.com) which produced 55 hours of creative documentaries over 20 years. In 2007, she joined the Eurodoc network. Her latest productions include the Cinémas Mythiques collection, co-directed with Joël Farges, with 12 52' episodes shot, broadcast and given awards in numerous countries.

Her latest production, Déracinés, (11' – 2021) was selected in more than 20 international festivals.

Olga is also an author: Du côté des filles (L. Audibert-2001), Rendez-vous à Venise (Rageot-2005), Stables (Rizzoli-2006) and Rendez-vous à Paris (Rageot-2009) a collection of literary short stories.
