This session will address the existential risks of global nuclear war that humanity faces and the possible solutions for building lasting peace. With the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Taiwan Straits crisis, the North Korean leader’s nuclear threats and Middle Eastern flashpoints, the risk of a world war is real. We need a  new framework for global governance that includes a global social contract, the progressive elimination of all weapons of mass destruction and a strong conflict 
resolution mechanism.
