Ralph Gruenert, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in France and Monaco. He has held various positions at UNHCR: Senior Adviser, UNHCR in Geneva, Senior Emergency Coordinator in Croatia and Representative in Algeria. Deputy Representative Democratic Republic of Congo. He has carried out extended missions in Algeria, Guantanamo Bay (Cuba), Canada, Geneva Headquarters, Thailand and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Prior to joining UNHCR, Mr. Gruenert worked as a lawyer in Berlin, Germany after studying law at the University of Regensburg and Tulane Law School.
