During his 40-year career as a journalist, Pierre Haski has worked as a correspondent in Johannesburg, Jerusalem and Beijing, initially for AFP and then for Libération, where he also managed the foreign correspondent division, before co-founding the French news website Rue89 in 2007. Since 2018, he has commented on geopolitics on France Inter’s morning show and has written a column on the subject for L’Obs. He became the president of Reporters Without Borders in 2017. His latest book: Liu Xiaobo, l’homme qui a défié Pékin, Arte-éditions, 2019.
