After graduating with a degree in engineering, Nicolas has spent more than 15 years working on the ecological transition of the economy. He is the executive director of Green Cross, an NGO founded by Mikhail Gorbachev in 1993 and which is currently chaired by Jean-Michel Cousteau; he previously worked as a consultant and a senior manager in strategic consulting firms, focusing on the ecological transition, sustainable development and sustainable cities.
Nicolas has contributed to the structuring of civil society proposals, focusing on climate conferences (since 2009), sustainable cities, regional resilience and the prevention of environmental conflicts. He co-ordinates and contributes to projects which involve prospective regional development (sustainable cities, the coastal economy, regions in transition), the transition of industries and sectors and environmental and human co-operation.
