Farhad Khosrokhavar is a retired professor at l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. He researches Islam in France and more generally in Europe, especially its radical forms, as well as the Arab revolutions of 2010-2011 and contemporary Iran.

He has notably researched the problems of Islamic fundamentalism and extremism in prisons and in the suburbs (notably for the Office des HLM).
