Roméo Langlois

Roméo Langlois has been a senior reporter for France 24 since 2013. His reports have taken him to Syria, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Mali, and Latin America, among other places.

His report “A l’assaut du califat” on the Kurds’ fight against the Islamic State group, received the Bayeux-Calvados Award for War Correspondents in 2017, in the best image category.

From 2000 to 2012, he covered the Colombian armed conflict and Latin American news. He produced numerous reports and documentaries for the French press and television.

In 2012, while filming an anti-drug operation by the Colombian Army, he was injured in combat and then captured for thirty-three days by the FARC guerrilla. “Colombie à balles réelles” the film shot during the fighting, received the Albert Londres Prize in 2013.
