Matthieu Lietaert is a filmmaker, activist and university associate professor. 

He is now working on a 3 year international impact tour for his latest film THE ILLUSION OF ABUNDANCE, made with Erika Gonzalez Ramirez. Matthieu directed and produced several projects for some of the world’s largest TV broadcasters :ARTE, AL Jazeera, France TV, Deutsche Welle, etc.). 

He also turned his PhD thesis into THE BRUSSELS BUSINESS, a film made with Friedrich Moser about the history of corporate lobbying in the EU, together with an online serious game for ARTE. 

Matthieu is also the brain behind OPERATION CLIMAT, a participative film made by 800 citizens from 49 countries that premiered both on ARTE and the official COP21 building in Paris.
