Sophie Lorant

Graduated from Sciences Po Paris, Sophie Lorant began her career in humanitarian work and then as a journalist for French news channels before launching her audiovisual production company. In 2007, she became a parliamentary advisor to Fadela Amara, Secretary of State for Urban Policy. In 2009, she joined the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, in charge of Relations with African National Olympic Committees. Following the London Games, she became responsible for relations with National Olympic Committees for the first European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. 

In 2015, Sophie Lorant joined the Paris 2024 Bid Committee as Director of International Relations. Following the victory of the French bid, she resumed this role within the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, particularly in charge of international cooperation, relations with the Olympic and Paralympic committees of the five continents, Protocol, services to the Olympic and Paralympic family, and language services.
