Editorialist at Le Monde, he joined the newspaper in 1989 in the Politics section, then moved to the International section in 1995. He was a correspondent in Jerusalem from 2001 to 2006, head of the International section, and a correspondent in Washington from 2014 to 2021, where he covered the final years of Obama’s second term and Donald Trump’s term. He is now an editorialist and actively participates in the development of Le Monde in English.
