2015-Present: Plenipotentiary negotiator in the Colombian peace process – Havana, Cuba, 2015-2016.
Since 2013: Independent management consultant; Co-chair of the Advisory Council for Relations between France and Colombia; President of the Executive Committee of the Casino Group’s corporate foundation and President of the Executive Committee of the Éxito Foundation and Advisor on trade in Columbia to the French Government.

Mr López is the former Managing Director of the Éxito Group, the leading retail brand in Colombia (1990-2013). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Smurfit Kappa Group (headquartered in Dublin), and has served on the Executive Committee of Cardif Colombia Seguros Generales S.A. since 2014. He has served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ecopetrol S.A. (2014-2015), Chairman of the Board of the Éxito Group (1990-2013), and Chairman of Caribú Internacional S.A. (1984-1990). He also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Casino Group (2011-2013), member and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the lending company TUYA (2006-2013), and member of the Executive Committee of the Consumer Goods Forum (2000-2013).
