Débat The Sahel: regional initiatives for peace and security Edition 2020 Start of the session 02 October 2020 16h30 End of the session 02 October 2020 18h00 Auditorium Most of the crises in Africa form part of a regional dynamic. This is the case of the Sahel-Saharan region, which has become significantly more violent in the last decade. This is evidenced by the resurgence of terrorism, inter-community clashes and crime caused by drug trafficking. Health crises are also large-scale challenges. How can states, sub-regional organisations and the African Union co-operate on security issues? How effective is this at regional and continental levels? Because of the sanitary crisis, some speakers will address the conference through videos: Isabelle Ioannides, Annadif Khatir Mahamat Saleh Speaker(s) Niagalé Bagayoko Moussa Mara Alain Le Roy Annadif Khatir Mahamat Saleh Isabelle Ioannides Moderator(s) Emmanuel Dupuy Image gallery Co-organisers Institut prospective et sécurité en Europe Preventing War: Responding to new threats Edition 2020 Useful informations Useful informations Public health requirements The public will be welcomed in accordance with the restrictions and obligations issued by the French government at the time.
