Isabelle Ioannides

Dr Isabelle IOANNIDES is a Policy Analyst working on EU external action, in the Ex-post Evaluation Unit of the European Parliamentary Research Service. She is also a Scholar in the Department of Political Science at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) and, until August 2020, she was a non-resident Europe’s Futures Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences, in Vienna. From 2010-2014, she was an Adviser in the European Commission President's Bureau of European Policy Advisers (BEPA). She has been a consultant for several think tanks, governments and international organisations on post-conflict reconstruction, with a focus on rule of law and security sector reform, civil society capacity-building, grassroots reconciliation and victims' rehabilitation. She has also published extensively and taught on these issues. She has carried out her post-doctoral research at the Free University of Amsterdam and holds a PhD and Masters of Research from the Department of Peace Studies, University of Bradford (UK), a postgraduate degree from Sciences Po Paris and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia (USA).
