Born in Strasbourg in France, Farouk Atig is a senior reporter and the founder of Intégrales Mag. He is a specialist in jihadist networks and has spent the last 20 years in the field, mostly in Africa and Muslim Arabic countries. Farouk Atig co-directed Syria, the jihad squads, a 57-minute documentary which was broadcast on thirty public TV channels in 2015 and 2016 (ZDF, France 2, PBS, NHK, etc.) and was produced by SPICEE.

After spending many years working in the press and having worked with several national and international daily broadcasters, including EuroNews and Radio Canada, he launched Intégrales Mag. He has covered several conflicts (Iraq, the Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Syria, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Angola, Somalia, Yemen and more) for television, radio and the press (Paris Match, Channel 4, CNN, etc.). As he speaks English, Arabic, Spanish and German, he can explore the international press and he encourages his editorial team to develop a 360° view of current affairs.

In early summer 2016, Farouk Atig returned to spend time with Syrian rebels, alongside the renowned photojournalist who has photographed the war in Palestine Ahmed Deeb. Syrie: les enfants de la guerre, their documentary on child soldiers, had its world premiere at the 2016 French Film Festival in Malaga.
