Jean Fabre

First graduated as an engineer in physics, Jean Fabre quickly joined the International Reconciliation Movement where he became International Secretary. In 1978, his steps lead him to Italy where he joined the Partito Radicale. His fights are multiple with a common denominator the human: the nuclear stop, the fight against poverty and hunger in the world. He was then called by the UN, first in communication, then as deputy director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) from 1998 to 2008.

Between 1970 and 1980, he managed to mobilize no less than 120 Nobel laureates in an international citizen campaign to mobilize governments against hunger in the world "Survival". This fight resulted in the creation of several national funds for this purpose in Italy or Belgium.
