Héloïse Fayet is a researcher at Ifri's Centre for Security Studies and coordinator of the Deterrence and Proliferation research programme. Her work focuses on nuclear issues, including the different doctrines of the nuclear-armed states, proliferation in the Middle East and the impact of new technologies on deterrence. She also works on armed forces in the Middle East, capability thinking and strategic foresight. She has been a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris since January 2022. 

Before joining Ifri, she spent several years at the Ministry of the Armed Forces as an analyst specialising in the Middle East. She is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (bachelor then double-master in international security and journalism), a course complemented by several university stays in the Middle East.
