Prior to her UNLOPS appointment, Annick Hiensch worked for the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the UN Secretariat in New York. Previously, she worked for the European Commission's Development Directorate in Brussels, the World Food Program in Rome and NGOs in London and Amsterdam. Annick Hiensch holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. She speaks Dutch, English, French and Spanish.
