Patrick Zimmermann

An Independent Consultant since 2020, Patrick Zimmermann serves as a senior advisor to companies in the aerospace sector, the “Security-Defense” domain, and renewable energies. 

Before 2020, he served France for nearly 40 years as a Navy officer and fighter pilot on aircraft carriers. He commanded Flotilla 4F, the air group of the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, and the Naval Air Base of Landivisiau. Patrick Zimmermann left the Navy after holding positions as a general officer (admiral), including head of operations planning (CPCO) and deputy director at the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DRM). 

His expertise in military operations was built through all French external operations since 1986 in the Balkans, Africa, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. He gained experience in military counter-terrorism by studying armed groups in Africa and the Middle East and the phenomena of radicalization. 

His current work focuses on national cohesion, geopolitics, and security in various fields, including strategic intelligence, influence, and hybrid operations.
