Some 76 years after the Second World War, racism and anti-Semitism continue to jeopardise peace around the world. International conflicts, terrorism, and racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions undermine relationships between individuals and put peace in even greater danger. Teaching people about the tragedies of our past – with an emphasis on good citizenship – provides a solid foundation for standing up to these persistent threats.
