Alain Le Roy is an ambassador and an honorary judge of the French Court of Audit; his roles have included the United Nations Regional Administrator in Kosovo, the European Union Special Representative in Northern Macedonia, the Director of Economic Affairs at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Ambassador to Madagascar, the French Ambassador for the Union for the Mediterranean project, the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, the French Ambassador to Italy and the Secretary-General of the European External Action Service.
