Edouard Perrin

Edouard Perrin, 52, is an investigative reporter and documentary filmmaker. He is editor of Forbidden Stories. He previously worked as a senior field reporter with French public television France 2 and as an investigative reporter for the acclaimed Cash Investigation series. 

In a 2012 investigation, Perrin revealed secret agreements between the Luxembourg tax authorities and multinational corporations that allowed companies to drastically reduce their tax bills. In cooperation with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, his investigation morphed into the Luxleaks scandal in 2014. Perrin received multiple awards for his revelations. He was also criminally indicted by Luxembourg and was finally acquitted twice. 

He was a Knight-Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan (2016). He was awarded the "Journalist of the Year" award at the "2016 Assises du Journalisme" in France and was on the 2016 Politico Europe list. He was the first Chairperson on Forbidden Stories’ Board of administration and served as Secretary General until July 2024. 

He is a member of the International Network Committee for the ICIJ. For 10 years he has been a jury member of the Bayeux Awards for War Correspondents. Perrin has been teaching collaborative journalism within the pioneering Crossborder Journalism Campus since 2022.
